Easter

We drew a hill with a boulder over a cave. At Easter Sunday we made some flowers and stuck them on the picture. We hunted for some paper shapes on the pontoon first and then on the wave break then we found Easter chocolates, we ate some yummy chocolate.

World book day

Humphrey’s tiny tales by Betty G Birney.

My creepy-crawly camping adventure.

Humphrey's tiny tales books
I love it. It’s very funny because he says unsqueakably. Humphrey is a hamster who lives in a classroom and at the weekends he goes with the girls and the boys home. In the book I am reading he is going camping in someone’s back garden.

Also I like my Ships and boats book, my favourite bit is about the hovercraft. I love my Tonka books too.

My Year on Tarquilla

I have liked this year. This year Tarquilla has sailed to here [Gijon]

Gijon is my favourite place because it’s got beaches, it’s got marinas and I liked the big parade and meeting the Kings.

I liked the sardine factory and sweet factory on my birthday [Port Haliguen] and I liked the stalactites and stalagmites too [Ribadesella].

It’s good having birthdays and Christmas on the boat especially opening my presents.

It was fun when the dolphins were playing with Tarquilla, one was under Tarquillas’ side, they jumped out of the water every time, they looked friendly and happy. I liked it when we saw some starfish, we were on the dingy looking over the side of the dingy, there were a lot of them [at Camaret].

I love playing in the big waves with my toy boat. I did walk in the water and had a turn on Richards bodyboard, it was fun to lie down on it and get whooshed by the waves.  We’ve had big waves in lots of different places.

It was fun making Coot [boat made from junk as a design project] and racing it and Coot won the race.

We’re looking forward to more adventures this year.

Brest
I like playing with Lego every day and eat and play and drink. I like galettes which are pancakes with cheese and ham. We played football. We went onto the beach and tied a blue string onto my big blue boat then I did make it go fast.

Fishing Boat

I love my blue boat. It’s a fishing boat and it has two paddles and a rope and a net. I got it with my pocket money and Daddy has written 'Aber Wrac’h' on the bottom of it. I am keeping it in my treasure chest.

Northern France.

Northern France - Normandy and Brittany coastline.

Cherbourg.
At the corner from years ago there is a Viking boat. There are lots of seagulls by the fishing boats. They used a red tractor to get the net off the boats, they were smelly.

Playground at Cherbourg.

Carteret.
It was fun playing in the waves.  (note from Mum, they were wearing wellies it was January and very cold but still great fun) The beach had jelly things in the rocks. Nanny and Grandad (Wilde) came in their car, we made paper aeroplanes and played hide and seek.

St Malo.
Grandad (Davis) came. We went to the fair, bumper cars were my favourite. We ate in a restaurant – pizza with a smile on.

Jus de pomme, big glass!

St Cast le Guildo.
There was bumpy rocks, it was fun walking back to the boat climbing on the wall and rocks. The cannon was in the water and they managed to get it up. It was bumpy and solid, it was bounced on the rocks.

St Quay-Portrieux.
We played football on the beach, made castles on the beach and a sand dragon. There is a scallop factory. The fishing boats were dancing.

Haslar Marina, Portsmouth Harbour

Haslar Marina, Portsmouth Harbour

Sea Survival training.
We put the lifeboat in the pool, it went off. We got off the life raft and got in the swimming pool. We did different games in the swimming pool and we made a water train.

Haslar Lake.
There was tiny boats on the lake, people were remote controlling them.

Historic dockyard.
Daddy picked me up and I saw the sheep in Warrior. Action stations had air blow and cogs that spin round with another cog with stamps on. It was really fun. I flew a helicopter.

Gosport discovery centre.
I can listen with the headphones, it was exciting. There was a museum upstairs and a library downstairs and a cafe with a huge cup of tea.

Christmas and New Year.
We had candy sticks and chocolate for Christmas, my favourite bit was having presents. On New Years day we went to the cafe and watched Batman and other people go in the cold water.
